Live in Postrock revisits songs from Ghost in the Frame and The Silent City in produced live-style arrangements. It is not a concert recording.
Live in Postrock is available to listen to here on the website. It brings songs from Ghost in the Frame and The Silent City into a sequence arranged like a live set.
These are produced live-style recordings, not recordings of a concert. I wanted to explore how the songs might work in that setting, before having a band to play them with.
Hearing the songs as a set
If you know the earlier albums, you'll recognize songs such as Cold Start, One Inch of Air, and Ghost in the Frame. Here they're part of a different running order and have arrangements made for this record.
The artwork imagines a singer onstage beneath white lights. It reflects the setting I had in mind for the album.
