The Band
Graviton Theory is a Cyber Nu-Metal band driven by downtuned guitars, industrial electronics, rhythmic vocals and strong melodic hooks.
Working Method
The genre line
Cyber Nu-Metal describes the sound, not the wardrobe. Downtuned guitars carry the weight; granular vocal fragments, industrial impacts and modern bass synthesis carry the fracture, and the two are meant to occupy the same moment instead of taking turns. The processing can go as far as it needs to. The voice underneath it stays human.
What the artwork is made of
Paper, toner, and pressure. A print is scanned, dragged, overprinted and partly erased until the figure is damaged and still legible, with one horizontal rupture crossing an otherwise clean structure. Nothing here is dressed up to look synthetic. It is made to look handled.
What the songs are about
Being in the room and out of the picture. Holding up a structure that never credits you, listening for the crack; being edited out by people who would call themselves reasonable; hearing an empty building repeat what was said after the door closed. There is resentment in it and no self-pity, and the only way out is refusing to get smaller.
What the record refuses to be
A costume, a concept that explains itself in its own liner notes, or a finished object withheld until a launch date. Tracks are published when they are done, with their lyrics and their material intact. If it resolved neatly, it would be lying about its subject.
