Where I was.
Not what I’ve become.
Thirteen new recordings and two acoustic returns, written from the near side of a window. A train pulls out, a screen stays lit, a promise is buried and called the future. Every song looks through a surface at something already receding: an older self, a city, a person, a version of the story that used to fit.
The glass is the material. Rain runs down it, red light from the street smears through it, and the figure in front of it is doubled: the one who left and the one still standing there. Nothing is wiped clean. The water only makes the distance legible.
Play it in order from Neon Siren to Gravity, then hear Next Level and Fake again as acoustic remixes. Full lyrics accompany every recording that arrived with them; All Cut arrived without a transcript and is presented as sound.
