The Record Reaches Its End

Three more tracks close the running order, a second alternate version arrives, and the hidden track finally works the way it was supposed to.

Wait for the Bell is the second interlude and the shortest thing here. An elevator between floors, where waiting stopped being something you do and became somewhere you live. The narrator presses the button again just to watch it light, like that changes something. It runs straight into what follows.

Second Shadow is the fastest track on the record and the only one running. A second set of footsteps that every passing light stretches longer: I don't turn around, I already know. Every bridge burned keeps lighting up underneath. It is the one moment where the album stops holding still and moves.

Inside the Weather closes the sequence by going inward instead of out. A room that became its own climate, where every lock is a language and the daylight stays folded behind the shade. After a track that runs, one that has stopped needing to.

There is also a second alternate version now: the title track played acoustic. The same words with nothing in front of them — no rupture, no low end, nowhere for the voice to hide. It sits beside the remix, both outside the running order.

And a correction. The hidden track was gated on having heard every song on the record, which sounded reasonable and was quietly broken: the record kept growing, so finishing it re-locked the moment the next song landed. Anyone who did what was asked was punished for the album not being finished. It now unlocks when you reach the end of the running order, and once earned it stays earned.
