[The effects slowly grow louder and wider. ]

[BAND ENTERS STAGE]

[Still no singing and no song lyrics. Instruments create only tension, drones, feedback and atmospheric noise.]

[Lead singer approaches microphone]

[LEAD SINGER – SPOKEN/SHOUTED TO CROWD – NOT SUNG – NO MELODY]

[Short pause]

[LEAD SINGER – louder, aggressive, spoken/shouted – NOT SUNG]

[Radio signal suddenly cuts through the stadium]

[Distorted echo]

[Deep electronic growl rises]

[Very short silence – tension]

[LEAD SINGER – screamed]

[SONG START – NO MORE INTRO BUILDUP]

I got footprints where I never meant to leave them

Names in the walls and a thousand ways to read them

Every wrong turn got a mouth full of teeth

Every bridge I burned keeps lighting up beneath me

I keep moving like the road owes me distance

Head down, heartbeat fighting the resistance

But the faster I go, the closer it gets

Like a hand on my neck made of every regret

Streetlights bend when I’m cutting through the rain

See my old face flash in the window of a train
